Aiden Francis takes us through a compilation of unreleased tunes and energetic, spacey rave cuts.
A popular face in Manchesters underground rave scene, Aiden is quickly becoming one of the city’s hottest exports. His love of upbeat, euphoric, and progressive music have given his productions a certain energy that has caught the eye of labels such as Gestalt, Houseum, Duality Trax, and Magic Carpet to name a few.
As a DJ, he has embedded himself into Manchesters vibrant queer rave scene. After finding inspiration from attending events such as High Hoops and Kiss Me Again, Aiden became addicted to the nightlife scene. Since then, his infectious energy behind the decks have led him to play for those very events including others throughout the UK and beyond. Aiden’s rise through dance music has saw him feature on lineups alongside Eris Drew, Lis Sarroca, and Matisa. His gig resume is equally as impressive. This year alone he has played at The DBA (Manchester), Renate (Berlin), PRST (Vienna), and Nexus (Paris).
When describing his sound, he tells //SNCMAG: “Its constantly evolving, but I would describe it as spacey, fun, and most importantly, PROGGY!” For his //SNCSOUNDS mix, Aiden provides a vibe that seems current yet nostalgic with its 90s trance inspired aesthetic. “I wanted to showcase some of the tunes that I’ve been playing in most of my sets as of late. I’ve also included an unreleased tune or two for my own good measure.”
